New Book Pays Tribute to John Saywell

The impact of historian and York professor John T. Saywell’s half-century of scholarly work and teaching still resonates today. Two former students – Dimitry Anastakis (MA ’95, PhD ’02) and Penny Bryden (MA ’88, PhD ’94) – have compiled an anthlogy of essays on the topic of Saywell’s lifelong passion. Framing Canadian Federalism: Essays in Honour of John T. Saywell  assembles former students, colleagues and admirers to consider the issues that relate to federalism and the history of Canada’s legal, political, and social evolution.
